Binaytara Foundation is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our expanding leadership team as Controller. Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Controller to oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. The ideal candidate will ensure the company’s financial operations are in compliance with regulations while providing accurate financial information for decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and other accounting standards.
  • Oversee the Foundation’s day-to-day accounting operations, including AP/AR, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management and the Board of Directors
  • Develop and manage the Foundation’s annual budget process, including forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure proper tracking of grant expenses and compliance with grant requirements.
  • Oversee the Foundation’s audit and tax preparation processes.
  • Provide financial analysis and guidance to support strategic decision-making.
  • Manage a full-time accountant direct report.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required. CPA. or on CPA track preferred.
  • 5+ years of related accounting experience in private foundation/public charity settings, with at least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Must have a dedication to the tax-exempt sector, the ability to exercise discretion, work independently, take initiative, meet multiple and competing deadlines, participate as an effective team member, and follow tasks through to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting standards
  • Experience in monetizing technical platforms.
  • Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels of the organization.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $115,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
