Communication Manager


The Binaytara Foundation is an impact focused, fast paced organization led by a team of highly driven board members and aided by many accomplished volunteers and supporters with a strong sense of caring and giving back. Travel Requirement: This position may require travel to our conference/event sites in WA state or outside WA state which may include overnight stays. 


Duties/Responsibilities:

The Communications Manager will develop and implement internal and external communication strategies for the organization to ensure that unified, consistent, and positive messages define and promote the organization’s identity and mission.

  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to promote and positively represent the organization through internal and external communication.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for communicating on behalf of the organization that represents, promotes, and supports the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Seek new methods and creative strategies to increase internal and external awareness of the organization’s ongoing projects and events.
  • Interview physicians, other healthcare providers, patients, and other stakeholders to create and share stories related to the BTF’s projects, events, and activities.
  • Write news, press releases, and other forms of communication related to the BTF’s projects and distribute them for publication.
  • Prepare and disseminate e-newsletters, fund-raising campaign emails, and project updates as needed
  • Design and implement social media campaigns.
  • Create promotional materials including digital media, printed materials, social media graphics and other media as needed to promote the Binaytara Foundation’s projects, events and educational conferences among target audience. 
  • Update and maintain websites, databases, and online contents about the organization as needed.
  • Create, implement, and monitor google AdWords campaigns and analytic tools.
  • Supervise interns, assistants, and other junior team members as assigned.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications required; Masters degree preferred.
  • At least five years of experience in the communications field required.
  • Desired Skills – Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, WordPress, Salesforce CRM, and email marketing platform skills.
