Civil Service Hospital BMT team starts training at UIC Medical center

As part of BTF’s Bone Marrow Transplant Center Project, a team of two doctors and one registered nurse from the Civil Service Hospital of Nepal began Bone Marrow transplant training at the University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago.
The two physicians, Dr. Bishesh Sharma Poudyal, a hematologist/oncologist, and Dr. Samir Neupane, a pathologist from civil Service Hospital started their training on October 20th. Devika Danekhu, a registered nurse, also from Civil Service Hospital, started her training on Novemeber 18th.
Upon Completion of their training, the trained physicians and the nurse will return to the Civil Service Hospital to start Bone Marrow Transplant Services.
