Dr. Brito is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Infectious Diseases at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is the Director of the Infectious Diseases Training Program at the University and the Director of the HIV/AIDS clinic at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center. He conducts research on public health and HIV prevention in Latin America, and is currently studying the feasibility and acceptability of introducing male circumcision as an HIV prevention strategy in the region. He has a clinical interest in the treatment of patients coinfected with HIV and hepatitis.
Nina Clark, MD

Dr. Nina Clark is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) in the Section of Infectious Diseases and her work is in the area of immunocompromised host medicine. She currently directs the Transplant Infectious Diseases program at UIC and works closely with the solid organ and bone marrow transplantation teams to assist in the prevention and management of infectious complications of transplantation. She is also principal investigator for UIC’s Ryan White CARE Act Early Intervention Services program which funds comprehensiveprimary health care for individuals living with HIV disease.
Dr. Clark received her medical degree from UIC and completed her residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Her research interests at UIC have focused on the pathogenesis and treatment of invasive fungal infections and, more recently, the pathogenesis of recurrent hepatitis C infection after liver transplantation.
